Near-boiler trim matters as much as the boiler

Most heat source callbacks trace to the trim rather than the appliance. Temperature and pressure relief valves must be rated for the appliance's BTU input and set pressure, and discharge piping has to run full-size to a safe termination. Expansion tanks need to be sized and pre-charged to the system's fill pressure, and backflow protection is required on the make-up water connection.

Tankless service kits — isolation valves with purge ports on both supply and return — make annual descaling possible without draining the system. In hard-water areas across the GTA they are the difference between a ten-year heat exchanger and a five-year one.

Heat source equipment is stocked at our Richmond Hill counter with contractor pricing and GTA delivery. If you are replacing an existing unit, send us the rating plate and we will confirm the relief valve, vent components and service parts that match.
