Manifolds

Manifolds distribute flow from a single supply to multiple branches — for domestic water and for hydronic heating loops. MEKCO Supply stocks domestic and hydronic manifolds from CALEFFI, Calefactio, icma, GRUNDFOS and Tekmar.

Domestic water manifolds

A home-run manifold system feeds each fixture from its own port, so pressure at one fixture is barely affected when another opens, and any line can be isolated without shutting the house down. It uses more tubing than a trunk-and-branch layout but far fewer fittings inside walls, which means fewer concealed joints.

Hydronic manifolds

Radiant and zone manifolds add balancing valves and flow meters so each loop gets the flow it was designed for — essential on in-floor radiant, where loops of different lengths would otherwise deliver very different heat output. Look for isolation valves on the supply and return trunks, air vents at the high point, and drain and fill ports, so the manifold can be purged loop by loop during commissioning.
