Usage

The Boshart BSC-200-SB is installed in a 2-inch discharge line above a sump, sewage, or effluent pump. When the pump runs, forward pressure opens the internal flapper and allows wastewater and suspended solids to move through the full-port valve. When the pump stops, the flapper closes to prevent water or sewage in the discharge pipe from draining back into the basin. The flexible rubber sleeves slide over the pipe ends and are secured using the four included stainless steel clamps. Boshart recommends maintaining approximately 21–73 GPM through a 2-inch sewage line to keep solids suspended and avoid excessive velocity.
