Usage

This TOPP basin-and-cover package is installed below floor level to form the collection pit for a sump or sewage pumping system. Groundwater, foundation-drain water, or approved wastewater enters through the 4-inch side inlet and accumulates inside the basin. A compatible submersible pump is positioned at the bottom, with its discharge pipe and any required vent routed through the cover grommets. As the liquid rises, the pump’s float switch activates and transfers the collected water to an approved discharge location. The cover is secured to the basin to limit debris entry and provide a cleaner, safer installation. Pump, check valve, discharge piping, and electrical components are normally purchased separately.
