The Woodford IOWA® Model Y34 Freezeless Yard Hydrant is a heavy-duty frost-proof yard hydrant engineered to provide dependable year-round water service in agricultural, residential, commercial, and industrial applications. Designed for installation below the frost line, it features a 3/4 in Female NPT inlet and a 3/4 in brass male garden hose thread outlet. Its automatic draining plunger evacuates water from the standpipe after shutoff to prevent freezing, while the durable cast brass valve body, galvanized steel casing, and stainless steel operating rod deliver long service life in harsh outdoor environments. The Y34's adjustable flow finder, rod guide, and lever lock ensure smooth operation and repeatable flow control.

Usage

The Model Y34 is installed below the local frost line to provide reliable outdoor water access for livestock watering, irrigation, lawn and garden maintenance, filling field sprayers, washing equipment, and general utility water service. Its automatic drain feature allows the hydrant to remain operational even in sub-zero temperatures when installed correctly and the hose is removed after use. All routine repairs can be performed from the top of the hydrant without excavation, minimizing maintenance time and cost.
