The Aqua Dynamic Full Port Ball Valve with Drain – Sweat × Crimp PEX is a lead-free forged brass shut-off valve designed to transition between copper tubing and ASTM F1807 PEX piping while providing convenient system draining for maintenance and winterization. Featuring a sweat (solder) connection on one end and a Crimp PEX barb connection on the other, the valve offers a secure, permanent installation with unrestricted flow through its full-port design. The integrated drain valve allows the downstream section of piping to be drained after shut-off, while the chrome-plated brass ball, PTFE seats, and blowout-proof stem ensure smooth operation and long-lasting performance in potable water and hydronic heating systems.

Usage

This valve is installed where a transition from copper tubing to Crimp PEX piping is required while providing both shut-off and drain capabilities. The sweat connection is soldered to copper tubing, and the PEX barb connection is secured using copper crimp rings or stainless steel clamp rings. The integrated drain valve allows downstream piping to be emptied after isolation, making the valve ideal for servicing plumbing fixtures, manifolds, water heaters, mechanical equipment, and seasonal winterization in residential and commercial plumbing systems.
