Usage

The Grundfos COMFORT Valve is installed beneath the sink located farthest from the water heater. It connects between the fixture’s hot- and cold-water supply connections and creates a temporary return path through the existing cold-water piping. When the hot-water line cools, the thermostatic valve allows the recirculation pump to move that cooled water back toward the water heater. As sufficiently warm water reaches the valve, it restricts the crossover path to help prevent continuous circulation into the cold line. This arrangement provides faster hot-water delivery without installing a separate return pipe and helps reduce water wasted while waiting at the faucet.
