6EC Series Sump & Light Effluent Pump

The Little Giant 6EC Series is a professional-grade line of 1/3 HP submersible sump and light effluent pumps designed for continuous-duty residential and light commercial water removal applications. Built around Little Giant's proven 6E platform, the series features heavy-duty cast iron construction, an energy-efficient Permanent Split Capacitor (PSC) motor, and a semi-open nylon impeller capable of handling clear water, gray water, and light effluent containing up to 1/2-inch spherical solids. Available in manual and multiple automatic switch configurations, the 6EC Series provides dependable basement drainage, sump pit dewatering, and light effluent pumping while delivering up to 53 GPM with a maximum head of 28 feet.

Usage

The Little Giant 6EC Series is installed in residential sump basins, lift stations, and light effluent systems where continuous-duty pumping is required. Depending on the selected model, the pump operates manually or automatically using an integral snap-action float, piggyback mechanical float, or diaphragm switch. As water enters the sump basin, the automatic switch activates the pump, which moves groundwater, gray water, or light effluent through the 1-1/2-inch discharge piping. The series is commonly used for basement waterproofing, crawl spaces, foundation drainage, utility rooms, dewatering applications, and light residential wastewater transfer where solids do not exceed 1/2 inch.
