Usage

The Little Giant SPBS-10HF-6 is installed in residential sump basins where uninterrupted groundwater removal is critical. During normal operation, the integrated 1/3 HP primary sump pump handles incoming water. If utility power fails or the primary pump becomes inoperative, the controller automatically activates the included 12 VDC backup pump using a separately purchased 12-volt Group 27 deep-cycle battery. The diaphragm backup switch monitors water level independently of the primary pump, ensuring continuous protection against basement flooding. The system is ideal for finished basements, crawl spaces, foundation drainage systems, and homes located in areas prone to heavy rainfall or power outages.
