The Press Brass 1960 PEX x Press Adapter - Lead-Free Brass is a transition fitting designed to connect 1960 (cold-expansion) PEX tubing to copper press piping systems. Manufactured from lead-free forged brass, the fitting features a cold-expansion (1960) PEX barb on one end and a copper press socket with a factory-installed EPDM sealing element on the other. The expansion end is installed using a compatible PEX expansion tool and expansion ring, while the press end is secured with a standard copper press tool, creating a permanent, flame-free, leak-resistant connection. Designed for potable water, hydronic heating, and radiant heating systems, this adapter offers excellent corrosion resistance and long-term durability. It is available in 1/2", 3/4", and 1" sizes to match common piping systems.
