The Apollo High Temperature Thermostatic Mixing Valve – Sweat is a bronze thermostatic mixing valve designed specifically for hydronic heating systems requiring high-temperature water control. Featuring sweat (solder) copper connections on all three ports, the valve installs directly into copper piping and utilizes a copper/wax-filled thermostatic element to automatically blend hot and return water, maintaining a consistent outlet temperature. The high-temperature model provides an adjustable mixed water temperature range of 120°F–180°F (49°C–82°C), making it ideal for radiant floor heating, baseboard heating, and other closed-loop hydronic applications.

Usage

This thermostatic mixing valve is installed in closed-loop hydronic heating systems to regulate the supply water temperature delivered to radiant floor circuits, baseboard heaters, fan coils, and other heating equipment. The sweat connections provide a permanent installation in copper piping systems, while the thermostatic control automatically adjusts the blend of hot and cooler return water to maintain the desired heating temperature, improving comfort, efficiency, and system protection. This valve is intended for hydronic heating applications only and is not designed for potable water systems.
