CALEFFI - ROBOCAL Automatic air vent

The Caleffi ROBOCAL™ Automatic Air Vent is a compact brass float-operated air vent designed to automatically remove trapped air from closed-loop hydronic heating and cooling systems. By continuously venting accumulated air during system operation, it helps eliminate air pockets, reduce corrosion, prevent pump cavitation, and improve overall heating efficiency. The vent features a corrosion-resistant brass body, polypropylene float, silicone sealing mechanism, and a durable black hygroscopic safety cap. It is available with 1/8 in and 1/4 in male NPT threaded connections for installation at high points in hydronic systems.

Usage

The ROBOCAL™ Automatic Air Vent is installed at high points in hydronic heating or cooling systems where air naturally accumulates. Its internal polypropylene float lowers as air collects inside the vent body, opening the discharge valve and allowing trapped air to escape automatically. Once water fills the chamber, the float rises and reseals the vent. Continuous automatic venting helps maintain proper circulation, reduces noise, minimizes corrosion, and improves overall system performance without manual bleeding.
