Taco - 3-6 Zone Valve Control with Priority

The Taco ZVC Series Zone Valve Control is designed to operate 24 VAC hydronic zone valves while providing integrated boiler control and domestic hot water priority. Available in 3-, 4-, 5-, and 6-zone configurations, the control accepts low-voltage thermostat inputs and powers compatible zone valves while activating the boiler through isolated end switches. The ZVC series features priority protection, external diagnostic LEDs, simplified wiring, thermostat compatibility, optional system pump control, and expandable communication between Taco zoning products, making it ideal for residential and light commercial hydronic heating systems.

Usage

The Taco ZVC control panel serves as the central wiring and switching point for hydronic heating systems using 24-volt zone valves. Each thermostat is connected to its designated zone, and when heating is required, the control energizes the corresponding zone valve. Once the valve end switch confirms the valve is open, the control starts the boiler and system circulator. The highest-numbered zone can be configured as a domestic hot water priority zone, temporarily suspending space-heating zones to provide rapid water heating when required.
