Product Description
The Calefactio IPS Brass Air Separator is a high-efficiency hydronic air elimination device designed to continuously remove free and microbubbles from closed-loop heating and cooling systems. Manufactured from heavy-duty forged brass, it improves system performance by preventing air accumulation that can cause noise, corrosion, reduced heat transfer, and premature equipment wear. The separator features an integrated automatic air vent and is suitable for residential and commercial hydronic systems using water or glycol solutions, and is available in IPS threaded sizes from 3/4 in through 2 in.

Usage
The Calefactio IPS Brass Air Separator is installed in the supply piping of closed-loop hydronic heating or cooling systems to automatically remove entrained air and microbubbles before they circulate through pumps, boilers, radiant floor systems, fan coils, or heat exchangers. Continuous air removal improves heat transfer efficiency, minimizes corrosion, eliminates noisy piping, reduces cavitation, and extends the service life of system components.
