Usage

The LEO LSD-253SV is installed in a residential sump basin to remove groundwater entering through foundation drains, basement drainage systems, or other collection piping. As the water level rises, the vertical float moves upward and automatically starts the pump. Water is then discharged through the 1-1/2-inch NPT outlet to an approved exterior drainage point. When the water level falls, the float automatically shuts the pump off. The unit may also be used for flooded-basement dewatering, irrigation-water transfer, and suitable septic-tank liquid pumping, subject to local requirements. It is intended for drainage water and light effluent, not raw sewage containing large solids.
