5M - BLUE/RED F1960 PEX BALL VALVE

The 5M F1960 PEX Ball Valve with Blue or Red Handle is a lead-free forged brass full-port ball valve designed for use with ASTM F1960 PEX-a expansion plumbing systems. It features F1960 expansion barb connections on both ends for direct installation between PEX-a tubing of the same size. The full-port design provides unrestricted water flow with minimal pressure loss, while the quarter-turn lever handle delivers fast and reliable shutoff. Available with blue or red handles, the valve allows easy identification of cold- and hot-water lines in residential and commercial potable-water systems.

Usage

This ball valve is installed inline on PEX-a expansion piping to isolate fixtures, manifolds, branch lines, water heaters, recirculation systems, and other plumbing equipment. Each expansion barb is installed using an ASTM F1960 expansion ring and a compatible expansion tool, creating a secure and permanent connection. The blue handle is typically used for cold-water lines, while the red handle identifies hot-water lines, simplifying system organization and maintenance.
