The Watts LF1170 Thermostatic Mixing Valve – Push-Fit is a lead-free master thermostatic mixing valve designed to deliver a safe, consistent tempered water supply in residential and commercial domestic hot water systems. Featuring push-fit connections on the hot, cold, and mixed water ports, the valve installs quickly without soldering, crimping, or threading and is compatible with copper, CPVC, and PEX tubing. A solid wax hydraulic thermostat with a double-throttling design continuously adjusts to changes in inlet temperature and pressure to maintain a stable outlet temperature. Integral check valves and filter washers help prevent crossflow and protect the valve from debris while automatically restricting mixed water flow in the event of a cold-water supply failure.

Usage

This thermostatic mixing valve is installed at the water heater or central hot water distribution system to blend hot and cold water before supplying tempered water throughout the building.
