Lyncar - Add-A-Stop Adapter

The LynCar Add-A-Stop Compression Tee Adapter (1650438) provides a simple way to add a secondary 1/4 in water-supply outlet to an existing 3/8 in compression shutoff valve. Its female swivel inlet connects directly to the existing stop, while the 3/8 in outlet reconnects the original fixture supply line and the 1/4 in branch supplies additional equipment. Manufactured from chrome-plated brass, the adapter features a swivel connection with an O-ring for quick retrofit installation. It is well suited for water filtration systems, refrigerator ice makers, humidifiers, instant hot-water dispensers, and other small appliance connections.

Install the adapter between an existing 3/8 in compression shutoff valve and its fixture supply line. The female swivel end threads onto the stop-valve outlet, the original supply line connects to the 3/8 in compression outlet, and a 1/4 in OD supply tube connects to the branch outlet. This creates two supply connections without cutting the existing pipe or replacing the shutoff valve. Because the adapter does not contain an independent shutoff, the original valve controls water to both connected lines.
