Tekmar -Switching Relay, 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 Zones with Priority

The Tekmar Classic Series Switching Relay is designed to control multiple hydronic heating zones using individual circulator pumps while providing intelligent boiler operation. Available in one-, two-, three-, four-, and six-zone configurations, the relay panel accepts calls from standard 24 VAC thermostats and energizes the appropriate circulator while operating the boiler through an end switch. Models with multiple zones include domestic hot water priority, priority override, post-purge, pump exercising, and Tekmar RoomResponse™ technology to improve boiler efficiency and comfort. These switching relays are ideal for residential and light commercial hydronic heating systems utilizing multiple circulator pumps.

Usage

The Tekmar Switching Relay serves as the control center for multi-zone hydronic heating systems that use dedicated circulator pumps. Each thermostat is wired to an individual zone on the relay panel, allowing independent heating control throughout the building. When a thermostat calls for heat, the relay energizes the corresponding circulator and activates the boiler through the built-in end switch. Multi-zone models provide domestic hot water priority, optional post-purge to recover residual system heat, and automatic pump exercising to reduce the likelihood of seized circulators during extended periods of inactivity.
